Siswa siswi SMP Amore Prime School mengikuti kompetisi film pendek remaja yang diadakan oleh SMK Budi Luhur. Pada kesempatan kali ini para siswa siswi SMP Amore Prime School mendapatkan juara 1 dari beberapa sekolah tingkat SMP se kota tangerang.
Mereka tergabung dalam kegiatan cinematography, yang dimana mereka sudah mendapatkan pembekalan materi perfilm an pada mata pelajaran sinematografi. Melalui kegiatan ini , diharapkan agar muncul bibit bibit sineas muda di jaman era modern saat ini.
From March 11 to 14 , 2019, our grade 8 and grade 9 students went to Penyarang, Cilacap, for annual Live In program. During the program, the students lived in a village with the locals, far from the comfort of a big city. They were assigned to do different jobs, based on what their host’s do for a living. Some of the locals are farmers, so students who lived with them during the program had to help them in the field and learn how to farm.
Most of the students don’t know anything about farming so it was a good chance for them to learn farming. This gave them precious experience. Some are merchants at the local market and students who lived with them had to go to market and helped them sell their stuff. Students said that it was tiring, but very fun and they learnt a lot from this program. There were many other interesting things that our students did, such as making tofu and tempe, growing rubber trees, etc.
Amore Prime School also arranged a joint class with the local school. So the students from two different schools go to school together, learn together, and share their respective experience and view between living in the city and in the village.
Overall it was a fun learning experience not only for our students, but also for the locals. Amore Prime School carry out this Live In program every year for Junior High students and we can’t wait for the next year’s Live In Program.
